During Ramadan, many Muslims will be taking part in religious practices and fasting from sunrise to sunset each day for one lunar month, based on sighting of the moon.
People professionals, HR practitioners, managers and employers can take this opportunity to show understanding and, where possible, accommodate particular needs to help ensure that people can continue to perform to the best of their abilities.
In order to create an inclusive workplace that values, respects, and celebrates diversity, an understanding of Ramadan is key to supporting colleagues through the fasting period. This guide includes some simple ideas that can help create an atmosphere of belonging and mutual respect.
